- Kathleen Rose’s research focuses on gender and video games: how we can analyze them to understand how they shape gender roles and notions of self in game and IRL, and how we, in turn, can resist and reshape those rules, roles and worlds

Congress 2025
Hosted at George Brown College, Toronto

Congress 2025 gathered approximately 7,000 scholars, students, policymakers, and community members from across Canada at GBC’s campuses, creating an opportunity for the research community to close the gap between colleges and universities. This landmark event aims to spark transformative conversations and collaboration, encouraging participants to engage in interdisciplinary learning, build meaningful relationships, and initiate discussions that will influence the future.

This presentation studied experiences of transnational youth-led feminist activism for gender transformative education.
